Ira and Norman Wagler who farm near Montogomery, IN had some exceptional corn yields in 2001. In fact they came in 2nd and 3rd respectively in the National Corn Growers Contest for the AA Non-Irrigated Class. In Indiana, they were 1st and 2nd. Ira posted a yield of 281 bu./acre and Norman produced 262 bu./acre. The Wagles also hold the record for the highest yield ever acheived in Daviess County. Ira and Norman have been following TSM's recommendations sense 1989. TSM stands for "Total Soil Management", which includes field mapping, grid soil testing, VRA application, field tile mapping, fertility results, field history records and the best fertility recommendations in the area. |
